Prof. Itay Gil, who brings with him a lifelong career in security, is an IDF Captain and served in Israel's special
forces paratroops brigade. After completing his compulsory service, he was chosen to join Israel's elite
counter-terror and hostage rescue commando unit "Yamam", where he became a career combatant.
In the Yamam, Mr. Gil participated in as many as three missions each day over the course of ten years.
Mr. Gil has over 33-years of hand to hand and Krav Maga actual combat study to meet the needs of the real-life
situations he faced in his 14 years of active duty combat experience.
Consequently, Mr. Gil became the chief close-quarter combat instructor for the unit. From 1992 to 1997.
Mr. Gil was the executive director of all training programs for the Israel Border Police as well as the undercover
police intelligence unit. During this period, he directed training programs for 5000 policemen and security
personnel each year.
Mr. Gil continues to serve in the IDF reserves where he is Captain, Senior Combat Instructor and strategic mission
planner for an elite undercover counter-terrorism team.
Recently Mr. Gil has been appointed General Director in charge of Intelligence, Counter Terrorism and Homeland
Security Studies of the Magid Institute of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem - named as well the Head of Instructional Courses Certification in Martial Arts and Personal Training of the Tel-Aviv University Education & Sports.
He holds also a professorship of the University of Aspen, Colorado too.
Mr.Gil is one of the most wanted instructor for Krav Maga, H2H combat and security worldwide.
Mr. Agiri was one of the 1st German Krav Maga Instructors and is certified under several Israeli organizations and top instructors.
He is certified Law Enforcement instructor, taught at (Military) Wingate Institute and the security school of Jerusalem courthouse.
His has a 35 years professional martial art background and is owner of one of Germany`s biggest martial art club.
He works for several years as a law enforcement instructor and was responsible for unarmed security at one of Germany's biggest schools for security and public saftey and was the first German Krav Maga Instructor, who ever did seminars in the USA.
Mr. Agiri is responsible for the teaching and instruction of Krav Maga Instructors (GKMF) and published the manual
"Scenario Training For Sucessful Seminars".
As owner of the Protect Academy he is responsible for all PROTECT - seminars in Germany and certifications in Europe.

As one of few he received the PROTECT Master-Instructor Certification
